The 3000 series postal cars, owned by the General Directorate of Post, were a development of the UIC-X type box that was giving such good results in the 8000 cars. Manufactured in the late 1960s, they represented a considerable renovation of the Post office car park, providing greater comfort, spaciousness and functionality for the staff who were in charge of sorting and organizing mail and small-volume parcels.

Equipped with Minden-Deutz bogies, like the rest of cars of its type, they were in service until the 1990s, when Correos stopped operating by rail in Spain. Electrotren has reproduced these traveling couriers using the base of the 8000 family, already known and constantly growing in our catalog.
